I’ve Become THAT Girl

Yes, I’ve become THAT girl. THAT girl who is in a relationship, but not engaged, who spends way too much time browsing wedding dresses online. Yes, THAT girl is ME. There, I admitted. (Do I feel good for admitting that? Sort of.) But don’t you lie to me. I know, or at least I’m 99.9% sure that you (yes, YOU!) are also THAT girl. And you girls who are married. I bet you also once had your time to shine as THAT girl too.

In my own defense, if you’ve read my last few blog posts, then you’ll understand where I’m coming from. I mean, I did send out three posts in the last week and a half that were ALL ABOUT WEDDINGS. Assuming you read them, I’m also assuming you too had at least some small inclination to indulge (for at least a few minutes or maybe your entire lunch hour) in being THAT girl.

And so, after TOO MUCH TIME browsing wedding dresses online, I present to you a handful of dresses I love. Go ahead, love them with me – please? And when you’re finished deciding which one(s) you love, mark them in the poll at the bottom of this post. Now on to the dresses…

I surprised myself (like really, really surprised myself) when I DIED for this White by Vera Wang uuber princessy Ball Gown Dress.

#1: Princessy Ball Gown

Because every girl deserves to be a princess. Right? (Image: brides.com)

Vera Wang teamed up with David’s Bridal to create White by Vera Wang, which is amazing. BUT, that doesn’t mean you don’t also fall in love with her original collection. Shoot me now for loving this expensive (as hell) gem of a dress from Vera Wang (ironically, the dress is called Gemma).

#2: Gem aka Gemma

Gemma the gem, will you be mine someday? Most likely, NOT :( (Image: whiteme.net)

For some reason this next dress from Nicole Miller reminds of some sort of mermaid, ocean nymph (yes, I just used the word nymph).

#3: Mermaid Ocean Nymph

You can’t talk wedding dresses without mentioning Monique Lhuillier. Unfortunately, Monique does not come cheap. This dress costs $$$$. Really though, it’s price on moniquelhuillier.com is $$$$, which translates to something between $7,000 and $20,000 (SHOOT.ME.NOW.)

#4: $$$$

As much as I love Monique

David’s Bridal has SOOOOOO many dresses and I really was only concerned with White by Vera, so I have no idea how I stumbled upon this Mikado Gown with cutey ruffles. Ok, ok, so maybe I browsed a little, but isn’t this dress adorably beautiful?

#5: Cutey Ruffles

This dress is only $500. Depending on the final price of the Monique $$$$ dress, cutey ruffles could end up being $19,500 less expensive than the $$$$ dress. WOW. (image: davidsbridal.com)

Now, I know none of you want to admit that you’ve suffered (or currently suffer) from THAT girl syndrome, but you CAN admit to me which of these five dresses you LOVE the most. C’mon, tell me. PLEASE!?

Aloha.
