That’s right my friends, I’m heading to Italy TODAY! My bags are packed and I’m ready to take on the land of pizza, pasta and gelato for a week and a half.

I’m meeting a hot Italian man {read: my BF} at Lago Maggiore to experience a little of la dolce vita and as we all learned in Eat, Pray, Love, the classic Italian art of il bel far niente.

As we Americans like to say, “this ain’t my first rodeo.” I’ve been to Italy a few other times (hence the pics- duh), but this trip is extra special because my parents are both coming too! At least we don’t need to worry about bringing a Hawaiian flag…

Believe it or not, I found that flag on a tiny island in the middle of the lake pictured above. I wonder if it’s still there?
